Here's where to pre-order the iPhone SE in the U.S.

Pre-orders for the Apple iPhone SE are officially live! So, where do you get one? Well, your favorite technological retailer aside, there are five traditional places you can pre-order the iPhone SE. You can try Apple's webstore, accessible through Apple.com or the Apple Store iOS app. And then, there are the four major U.S. carriers - Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. They all have different offers, and at least two are giving the 16GB base model away for free if you sign up. Deliveries begin March 31. So, here are your options!
Apple
Apple lets you pre-order the iPhone SE in four color schemes (silver, gold, gray, rose gold) at $399 for the 16GB model and $499 for the 64GB one. You can pay up-front, or sign up for the iPhone Upgrade Program, which lets you buy an unlocked iPhone SE on a 24-month installment plan if you trade-in your current iPhone. Here's how that works out:
What you give | What you get | What you pay |
iPhone 4 or 4s | iPhone SE | $14/mo. |
iPhone 5 or 5c | iPhone SE | $12/mo. |
iPhone 5s | iPhone SE | $10/mo. |
You can also sign up with your carrier directly from Apple's website. Sprint and Verizon are giving the 16GB iPhone SE for free if you sign a new 2-year contract, or you can have the 64GB phone for $49. One can also choose an AT&T Next plan, while T-Mobile wants you to pay in full when you order through Apple.
Big Red will let "qualified customers" have the iPhone SE for $0 down and either $16.66/mo. (16GB version) or $20.83 (64GB version) for 24 months.
AT&T
T-Mobile
The Magenta-painted Un-carrier sells the 16GB iPhone SE for $0 down and $16.67/mo. for 24 months, and the 64GB iPhone SE is sold for $0 down and $20.84/mo. for 24 months. A new device purchase requires a SIM Starter Kit ($20), which is automatically added to your order.
