OnePlus 3 Certified By FCC, Specs Confirmed Again

Image
OnePlus 3, the flagship smartphone from OnePlus is waiting for its official announcement and after numerous leaks and rumors over the weeks we know almost everything we need to know about this smartphone. That being said the smartphone has now passed through FCC certification once again confirming the specifications of this phone. This smartphone is said to be launched on June 14 which is just around 15 days away. OnePlus 3 specs were kind of confirmed when the smartphone was first spotted onTENNA but the specs revealed by FCC are not quite as clear as those revealed by TENNA. Leaked diagrams reveal that the Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus will be slightly thicker

Image
Diagrams allegedly revealing the measurements of the Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus surfaced today, revealing that the upcoming new iPhone models will be a tad thicker than the Apple iPhone 6s and Apple iPhone 6s Plus. While the iPhone 6s measures 7.1mm thick, the leaked diagram of the iPhone 7 reveals it to be 7.2mm thick. And the iPhone 7 Plus will also be 1mm thicker at 7.3mm, according to a second diagram. The height and width of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 both measure 138.3mm x 67.1mm. The height and width of the iPhone 6s Plus and iPhone 7 Plus both measure 158.2mm x 77.9mm. Again, the only difference in size between last year's and this year's models is the additional 1mm in thickness that will apparently be found on this year's handsets. Apple users are hoping that the extra mm in thickness is the result of a higher capacity battery. The diagrams also show that the iPhone 7 Plus will feature a dual camera setup, while the iPhone 7 will carry a single camera

No Man's Sky Release Date Finally Confirmed

Image
After gaming blog Kotaku revealed that space survival game No Man's Sky would be delayed to July or August of this year and an employee at Canadian retailer EB Games postedmarketing materials proving it would be out earlier, developer Hello Games has finally laid any doubt on No Man's Sky's release date to rest. Studio Founder Sean Murray took to Sony's blog to confirm that the game is delayed and revealed when you can expect it to hit the shelves, both digital and physical. "After a short delay, No Man's Sky will launch in North America on August 9, in Europe August 10, and in the UK August 12," his post reads. The reason for the delay was to allow for extra time to fine tune some of the game's elements. "The game really has come together, and it's such an incredible relief. As we sit an play it now, and as I watch playtesters every day, I can finally let myself get excited. We're actually doing this," Murray writes. "However

Xiaomi Mi Band 2 to Go on Sale in China on June 7, Confirms CEO

Image
Few weeks ago, Xiaomi CEO Jun Lei had hinted at an early June release of the Mi Band 2. Now, he has confirmed that the Mi Band 2 will go on sale on June 7. While talking in the Q&A session on Wednesday after unveiling the drone, Lei said (via MyDrivers) that the Mi Band 2 will hit the market on June 7. This inadvertently means that the company will unveil it, either before or on June 7 itself. The new fitness band was set for a May 10 unveil, alongside the Mi Max and MIUI 8, but due to issues in production, the unveil had to scrapped, and the CEO warned of a month-long delay. Now, it seems that Xiaomi has overcome the issues and is finally ready to announce its new and improved Mi Band 2. The new version is expected to see many iterations. Unlike the Mi Band, the Mi Band 2 will sport a LED display screen and a physical button. This was seen when Lei briefly unveiled the band at the May 10 event. Furthermore, it is pegged to reduce its dependence to the smartphone. The device sti

Pokemon Go beta has arrived; would be trainers are being chosen to trade, battle and catch 'em all

Image
For U.S. Pokemon fans, today is the day that they have long dreamed about (no, Mr. Mime is not marrying Ash's mom). Android and iOS beta testers for the Pokemon Go mobile game are now being selected from a list of people who signed up earlier this month. Created by Niantic and Nintendo, Pokemon Go uses Augmented Reality to allow players to catch, train, trade and battle Pokemon just as if the whole Pokemon eco-system were real. There will be more than 100 wild Pokemon that players will have the opportunity to capture. When a player is near one, he/she will receive a notification on a smartphone, reminding the would-be Pokemon Master to throw his Poke Ball to catch the pocket monster. Supplies can be picked up at a PokeStop, which will be located at real life museums, historical locations and other places. Pokemon Go will be true to the game in that you will be more apt to find a water Pokemon like Squirtle in areas near you that contain water. And there will be special Pokemon e

OnePlus 3 Screenshot Reveals Its Running On Android N, More Specs Leaked

Image
OnePlus 3 will soon meet us, probably at the start of June. But that doesn’t stop the numerous leaks that crop up online. The latest information about the OnePlus flagship comes via the noted leaker, Evan Blass, who revealed a screenshot of the upcoming device along with a few specs details as well. According to the new screenshot, the OnePlus 3 is seen running on an Android N preview build. The model number is RAIN A3000, the same model that we saw on the benchmarks a few weeks back. The phone seems to be running on the Oxygen version 3.1.0 along with the kernel version 3.10.84. This is clearly a preview build running on the new handset, but expect the Android Marshmallow version out of the box when the phone is released. You will probably get to play around with Android N after it’s released and the phone is updated via OTA. While evleaks is known to release credible information about upcoming smartphones, some users at XDA claim that the kernel version should be updated, as wel

Alleged Apple plates confirm larger rear camera for iPhone 7, dual cameras for iPhone 7 Plus

Image
A pair of photos are rumored to show CNC machining plates used in the finishing process of the aluminum found on the body of the Apple iPhone 7 and Apple iPhone 7 Plus. Also part of the leak is a couple of diagrams that show the design of the plates with some measurements included. The smaller plate, said to be used in the production of the 4.7-inch Apple iPhone 7, matches the leak that we showed you earlier today of the Apple iPhone 7. Both images seem to confirm that the iSight camera on the back of the iPhone 7 will feature a larger lens, hinting at a larger aperture and the ability to take better photos in low-light conditions. The plate for the 5.5-inch Apple iPhone 7 Plus confirms the use of a dual camera setup on the back of the phone. Connected Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities was among the first to call for two rear cameras to be found on the iPhone 7 Plus. The analyst made that call back in January when he said that both lenses on the back of the iPhone 7 Plus wi

Xiaomi Mi Drone Teased in Video Ahead of Wednesday Launch

Image
Xiaomi is all set to unveil its first drone on May 25, expected to be called the Mi Drone, but until then it wants to keep the buzz going by dropping sporadic teasers. The latest one comes in the form of a 20-second video giving us little glimpses of the upcoming drone. The video reveals an all-white quadcopter drone, complete with four rotors and a revolving camera attached to a gimbal. There are hints of orange seen on the top of the blades, bringing in the colour of the Mi brand. The teaser ends with the event details revealed by the company. As reported earlier, the drone is expected to shoot 4K videos at 30fps. With this launch, Xiaomi marks its entry into the UAV market. The Chinese electronics company has already forayed into many segments like air purifiers, Wi-Fi routers, pressure cookers, and even set-top boxes. Apart from this teaser, Xiaomi has released two other teasers in the past initiating buzz about the drone launch. The first teaser had a bamboo-copter, while the sec

Here’s Our First Look at the Xiaomi Drone with Rotating Camera (Video)

Image
Xiaomi has officially confirmed that the first drone from the company will be announced on May 25 at 7PM in Beijing, China. We have already got a glimpse of the device, revealing a powerful setup and now, the first teaser video of the drone has been released. The new teaser gives us a much better look of the device, including its rotors, and camera. First of all, the Xiaomi drone will be using a four-rotor design, as mentioned earlier. Also, like expected, the camera on board will be a rotating one, which means you can capture images and videos with the help of the drone in flight from various angles. It definitely looks like an exciting device! Check out the whole video from here . Specs wise, we haven’t got much information, but it is said that the new drone will be able to capture 4K videos at 30 fps. Also, the company is reportedly trying to compete with established drone makers like DJI, which means we can expect a lot of high-end features on the upcoming device. What’s more,

Quickly add storage space to your iPhone with these simple tricks

Image
So the Apple iPhone doesn't feature a microSD Slot. This means that if your iPhone comes with just 16GB of native storage, you have to be pretty judicious about the things you store on your handset. But no matter how careful you are, there are some things that are clogging up your iPhone. The good news is that there are a few tricks you can do to quickly open up additional storage space. In iOS 9, your text messages are stored on your phone forever by default. Considering how much you text, this could be consuming a lot of memory. So here is how we take care of this issue. Go to Settings> Messages > Keep Messages. You then have the option of keeping your texts natively on your device for 30 days, 1 year, or forever. Click on 30 days and you will be prompted to delete all current messages over 30 days old. Agree to that, and you might have opened up enough space for some new apps! Another way to save space is to go to Settings >Safari > Clear History and Website Data. T

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus may both offer OIS, LG and Sony could share camera module orders

Image
Until now, we've heard plenty of rumors regarding Apple's next-generation iPhones, probably callediPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (or iPhone 7 Pro). While the new handsets will likely not look too different compared to the iPhone 6 series, they're certainly going to bring various hardware and software improvements - including upgraded cameras. Most of the recent rumors had it that the iPhone 7 Plus should feature a dual rear camera with optical image stabilization, while the iPhone 7 will include a regular rear camera without OIS. However, Nomura Securities analyst Chris Chang now expects both new iPhones to offer OIS. As you may know, optical image stabilization is currently included only on the iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6s Plus. Thus, the iPhone 7 could become Apple's first 4.7-inch handset to have a camera with OIS. This should help the device deliver higher quality photos and videos, especially in low light situations. Nomura Securities also notes that Sony, which Apple

Oneplus to ditch the invitation system for the OnePlus 3?

Image
Oneplus had made a spectacular entry back in 2014 when it announced the Oneplus One. Although being a subsidiary of Oppo, a well-established manufacturer, Oneplus adopted an invitation system to manage to meet demand for its first model. After several months, this limitation was lifted as demand came down and production increased. The same strategy was adopted for the other two models, the Oneplus 2 and Oneplus X, causing dissatisfaction among many customers who wanted to get their hands on one of them as soon as possible. So, about 4 months back, Carl Pei, the CEO of the company had mentioned that buyers would be treated to a “better buying process” with the OnePlus 3, but not clearly stating if this was the end of the invitations. Recently, he posted an update on Twitter asking: “Who’s looking forward to invites making a comeback?” what seems to be a rhetorical question as no one wants it. Chances are that he was just being sarcastic about it and invitations will soon be a thing o

iPhone 7 Release Date, Specifications, and All Other Rumours

Image
Apple suppliers Foxconn and Pegatron are mass hiring workers urgently, leaks are flowing in full force, and the iPhone 7 countdown has officially begun. The most anticipated smartphone of the year is scheduled for its traditional September release, but the rumour mills have already begun toiling relentlessly to give us even the tiniest pieces of information. Gathering from these leaks, the iPhone 7 is not expected to see any major design tweaks, except for a minor few. However, there are some significant changes that are worth a mention. We compile all the rumours and leaks that have surfaced online so far, and give you a comprehensive list of all that is expected to come with the iPhone 7 this year. Three variants In 2013, Apple released two iPhones for the first time - the iPhone 5s and 5c. The following year saw a major design overhaul with Apple ditching its 4-inch smartphone size entirely, and releasing two smartphones in different sizes, the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and 5.5-inch iPhone

OnePlus 3 Feels Good to Hold, Says CEO

Image
OnePlus' flagship smartphone is tipped for a release sometime in the second quarter. However, new information about the OnePlus 3 keeps coming in, and the latest is from the CEO Pete Lau himself. Lau confirms on China's social networking site Weibo (via GizmoChina) that the OnePlus 3 'feels good to hold' in the hand. The OnePlus 2 might have some great specs, but users did complain of it being bulky and heavy in the hand. Earlier, co-founder Carl Pei had also revealed that the OnePlus 3 will feature a "new design", and will not follow on the tracks of the OnePlus 2. He asserted that the OnePlus 3 will "captivate" the users, just like their debut handset OnePlus One did. Pei also confirmed that the OnePlus 3 will be sold directly by the company in US and other markets as an unlocked smartphone. OnePlus has also promised to come up with a "better buying process", but hasn't provided a tangible outline yet. Furthermore, this time around O

iPhone 7 Render Images Leak; Tip Several Design Changes

Image
Leaks about Apple's upcoming smartphone are pouring in, and the latest one comes in the form of render images. These images give us a close look at the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 from all angles. GSMArena claims that it has obtained these images from a 'reputed source' in the case-making business. If these images are credible, Apple is truly getting rid of the antenna bands at the back and shifting them to the top and bottom edges. The bottom end of the device houses two speaker grilles, and the Lightning port. The 3.5mm audio jack is not to be seen, but nor is the Smart Connector. The back of the device reveals that the camera bump will remain. The dual camera setup is expected to be exclusive to the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus, therefore these iPhone 7 renders see the traditional camera setup at the back. There is no change when it comes to the placement of volume rockers, the volume switch, and the power button. The front of the device sees no tweaks. The home button is placed

Asus ZenFone 3 Allegedly Spotted in Benchmark With Snapdragon 820 SoC, 4GB of RAM

Image
Asus has been teasing its ZenFone 3 series of smartphones which is set to launch on May 30. However, ahead of the launch, the alleged Asus ZenFone 3 is said to have passed the AnTuTu benchmark test with a Snapdragon 820 SoC on board. The benchmark results shown in an image posted on Weibo reveal further details about the handset's innards. The Asus handset is listed with model name Z016D, believed to be ZenFone 3, and packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. The Asus Z016D model will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, as per the benchmark result. It packs a full-HD display and sports a 23-megapixel rear camera alongside an 8-megapixel front camera. As with other benchmark related leaks, the complete specifications of the Asus ZenFone 3 are not available as of now. The Weibo user claims that the alleged ZenFone 3 scored 135,000 on AnTuTu benchmark listing. In its recent teaser, Asus confirmed its 'Zenvolution' press event at t

iPhone 7 Tipped to Launch in 3 Variants

Image
Apple's upcoming smartphone has been subjected to various leaks, leaving little to the imagination. Now, a new report further reveals that the new iPhone 7 will come in three variants. Until this leak, the iPhone 7 was expected to release in two variants - iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. However, this screenshot from Mobipicker tips that there might be another variant called either the iPhone 7 Pro or iPhone Plus Premium. This may explain why Foxconn and Pegatron, both Applesuppliers, are looking to urgently mass hire large number of workers. The addition of a third variant has increased production demands, and therefore the companies need more people to speed up the manufacturing process. This also means that all the three variants have now left Apple's drawing board and have reached manufacturing tables. There is no information on what unique utility the third variant will offer. Whether this rumour is true or not, readers should take all leaks until the official unveil with a

"Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced Batman: Return to Arkham. The new title bundles Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, two of the most critically acclaimed video games on the last generation of gaming consoles. It goes on to claim that Batman: Return to Arkham will have "improved graphics, as well a

Yu Yunicorn India Launch Postponed to May 31

Image
Micromax subsidiary Yu Televentures on Wednesday announced the new date for the launch of its latest flagship smartphone, the Yu Yunicorn. It will now be launched at a New Delhi event on May 31. The company postponed Thursday's launch earlier this week, saying the event would have clashed with election results of five states that are due out on the same day. The company started sending media invites for an event on Thursday earlier this month where the company confirmed to unveil its next flagship smartphone - the Yunicorn. The teaser shared by Yu had hinted that the Yunicorn flagship might be priced competitively. Yu has already confirmed that the next flagship will run Android with a deep integration of Around Yu, a service aggregator platform that was introduced last year alongside the Yutopia smartphone. Yu is expected to sell the Yunicorn flagship via online channels only. The company had recently also detailed its "Project Highway" which is a way the company want

Nokia Wow! Its true and officially confirmed that the Nokia is going to be back in market soon

Image
After years of staying away from the mobile market, Nokia appears to be gearing up to re-enter it, with both smartphones and tablets. As a reminder – the company was to be barred from selling smartphones up until the end of this year, carrying the Nokia name, due to the acquisition deal with Microsoft, which went down in late 2014. Microsoft got exclusive rights to the Lumia brand, and also had rights to brand its feature phones as “Nokia”. The Finnish company did bend the rules a bit and launched a tablet — the Nokia N1 — which it was licensing other manufacturers to build and distribute, but it didn't really become a mindblowing success. One because the tablet market isn't in great shape currently, and secondly – the whole "I license it, you build and sell it" certainly places a lot of constraints in pushing a product reliably to multiple markets. Well, a complex alliance has been formed between Nokia Technologies and a few partners in order to get the Nokia name,

Moto G4 Plus Box Leak Reveals Everything About The Phone Before Launch

Image

Despite the event being just a few hours away, leaks are continuing to come in about the upcoming devices. The latest leak comes in the way of a Moto G4 box, which basically confirms the name, design as well as specifications of the device. From the written material at the back, it looks this leak comes from Mexico. So, first let’s look at the design revealed by the box. It is in line with the previous leaks, with curved corners and a physical square home button with fingerprint just below the display. The name is also confirmed, so like expected, it will be called as the Moto G4 Plus. Coming to the back, the phone features the standard ‘M’ Moto logo on the back panel, along with the pill shaped camera module, which includes dual tone flash and laser autofocus along with a 16MP sensor. Thanks to today’s leak, even the specs were confirmed. The

Yu Yunicorn India Launch on Thursday Gets Postponed

We learned that the company took the decision to postpone the launch because of the election results of five states which will be out on Thursday. The company has confirmed that the Yunicorn flagship launch will happen in the fourth week of May and Yu will be sharing the new launch dates soon. The company started sending media invites for an event on Thursday earlier this month where the company confirmed to unveil its next flagship smartphone - the Yunicorn. Analyst: iPhones will get curved OLED screens in 2018, panels to be supplied by four separate manufacturers

Image
We've been hearing a lot of rumors and speculation about Apple supposedly planning to switch the displays on its iPhones to AMOLED panels, from the current LCD tech. So much so, that by now it seems like it's a question of “when”, not “if”. Some reports say this year's iPhone 7 will be the first one with an OLED display, but the majority of leaksters and analysts say it will be next year's iPhone 7s (iPhone 8?). Some say Apple will produce acurved or even bendable screen when it switches to the tech, others make no mention of it. President and chief analyst of UBI Research, Lee Choong-hoon, spoke at a seminar for industry investors this last Friday and voiced his opinion on the matter. According to him, Apple will get a few suppliers for the new displays. We've already heard a few reports about a deal between Samsung and Cupertino to supply 100 million OLED panels yearly, so it seems Sammy will be the largest supplier — 60 percent of the total units supplied wo

Alleged 4.7-inch iPhone 7 pictured in Gold, most probably a fake

Image
The iPhone 7 is emerging as one of the worst-kept secrets in the Apple flagship's history. Months prior to its impeding September launch, we've gotten a fair bit industry insight about Cupertino's next move from the likes of Ming-Chi Kuo and other knowledgeable sources. Evidence is aplenty that Apple will differentiate the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus by implementing a dual camera setup with limited optical zoom capabilities inside the phablet. There are other new additions in store, of course, but for now, let's turn our attention towards the leaked material. A purported photograph of the 4.7-inch iPhone 7's back panel originating from Weibo – the Chinese micro-blogging website – has been making the rounds online. Pictured in Gold color, the alleged device sports several design differences to the iPhone 6 and 6s. Notably, it appears rounder, the antenna lines have been moved to the top and bottom, and a new module appears between the iSight cam

Apple Acknowledges Bug That Deletes iTunes Music; Fix Due This Week

Image
There have been several reports by Apple Music users of music disappearing from libraries without any intimation, soon after the service's launched last year. The Cupertino giant on Friday has finally acknowledged the issue, saying it only affects a small number of users, and that it will issue an iTunes update to fix the issue this week. However, the company added it could not yet find the exact problem. In Apple's words, "We have not been able to reproduce this issue, however, we are releasing an update to iTunes early next week which includes additional safeguards." Apple Music users have been losing their music from their iTunes library, and for a while now, and the problems appear to be related to the way iCloud Music Library syncs music. However, the issue took Apple's attention after freelance composer James Pinkstone wrote a blog post complaining about 122GB worth of files missing from his computer. The deleted music data also included some of Pinkstone&#
