Could This Be The Xiaomi Notebook?
It has been quite some time since we heard about the upcoming Xiaomi Notebook. We have heard from supply sources that the device is real and is coming in the second half of 2016, but lately, we haven’t seen much about the laptop. Now, it looks like we could have our first real glimpse at the upcoming Xiaomi Notebook, thanks to the Instagram post from a Xiaomi distributor in Ukraine.
According to earlier reports, Xiaomi is planning to launch three notebook model this year, one with a 12.5-inch display, another with a 13.3-inch display and finally, a larger one with a 15.6-inch display. Some of the rumored features of the device include Intel i7 processor, 8GB RAM, Intel GTX-760M 2GB Graphics and $466 price tag. But these are just speculations from previous reports and nothing is official yet.
According to the most recent rumor, the Xiaomi laptop release has been delayed to the second half of this year. This was mainly to set up a good after-sales support for the device once released. So, we might have to wait for a few more weeks until we get more concrete details.
Meanwhile, we wait for the release of the new Xiaomi Max phablet and the Mi Band 2 on May 10.
In an image posted yesterday, we can see three products, one is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and the second is the Amazefit band from Xiaomi. But what’s really interesting is the device that’s underneath! We can see that it’s a laptop, but the branding is most likely covered by the phone. Instead, we can see the Mi logo in orange posted over the notebook. Further, the image asks, “What else do you expect from Xiaomi this year?”. Putting these things together, we could speculate that this is the Xiaomi Notebook. Of course, apart from the few hints posted by this image, there is no concrete evidence that this is the real Xiaomi device.
