Xiaomi Redmi 5 launch date in India scheduled for Valentines Day 14th Feb

Xiaomi has just sent out the invites for the launch of their upcoming first Redmi smartphone of 2018. Invite has been sent with a big '5' on it and it clearly indicates that the upcoming smartphone is going to be budget segment Redmi 5 coming up on 14th of February. Also, we are expecting from Xiaomi to unveil at least about three storage & RAM variants to be sold in India like 2GB RAM/ 16GB storage, 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage, and the 4GB RAM/ 32GB storage. Unfortunately for the Redmi 5 Plus there are no details till now.


Now coming to the specifications of the Redmi 5 & Redmi 5 Plus. Both will be coming with a DUAL SIM support along with MIUI 9 on the top of Android N. Redmi 5 will be coming with the 5.7-inch HD+ display while Redmi 5 Plus is expected to be coming with a 5.99 inch full HD display which will be full vision display in both the cases. Coming on the processor Redmi 5 will be supporting Snapdragon 450 and Redmi 5 Plus will be having a slightly higher Snapdragon 625 processor for multitasks.

 Coming on the camera department both the smartphones are having a 12 megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front selfie camera into them.

 Other connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack and even a micro USB. All these features are being powered by 3300mAh & 4000mAh battery in Redmi 5 & Redmi 5 Plus respectively.
